Kroger Tries Out Mid-Sized Stores

Kroger is trying out a new type of store in Columbus, Ohio, that’s midway in size between its supermarkets and its convenience stores. The three experimental Turkey Hill Market stores are 7,500 square feet, compared with Kroger’s supermarkets (an average of 67,000 square feet) and its Turkey Hill Minit Market c-stores (4,000 square feet). The new stores carry fresh produce, meat, dairy and eggs at close to supermarket prices.
